Inspired by the Japanese wood preserving process Shou Sugi Ban, these wooden vessels have been charred and waxed, creating a beautifully imperfect, striking finish. With each one displaying individual characteristics, they're intended to be versatile and multi purpose in their use, these could be used as storage vessels, vases for dried florals, small plinths, etc...
Currently available in pedestal and straight cylinder form, we are working on adding more size options. Made from NZ pine & finished with a hand buffed wax. Recommended for dry areas only. Made by local craftspeople and finished by Mark Seeney in Auckland, NZ.
